Madera Foxpolis Shines at the Sighthound Specialty Show in Estonia

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news from the recent Sighthound Specialty Show in Estonia — our beloved whippet, Madera Foxpolis, proudly brought home the Best of Breed (BOB) title!

What makes this achievement even more special is that Madera earned this honour while competing in the Junior Class, standing out among older and more experienced dogs. This is a remarkable milestone in her young career and a testament to her outstanding qualities.

Madera Foxpolis, a beautiful fawn whippet from Poland, embodies so many of the traits we value in our breeding program. She has an excellent temperament — gentle, confident, and affectionate — making her a joy to live with. Her ideal size, elegant build, and effortless movement caught the judge’s eye and truly set her apart in the ring.

About the sire

This exceptional dog has been in our breeding plans for a long time, but the unfortunate events of the past year have made us decide not to delay this combination any further. Charlie’s breeder, Bo Bengtson (06/22/1944 – 11/06/2024), was a renowned Whippet breed expert, breeder, writer, and judge whose name is inseparable from the history and development of the sighthound breed.

He founded the legendary Bohem kennel, which is known worldwide for its top-quality Whippets. Throughout his career, Bo wrote numerous articles and books about Whippets and edited The Whippet magazine, where he shared his expertise about the breed. His contribution to Whippet breeding and promotion is invaluable, and his books continue to inspire Whippet breeders globally. We wanted his legacy and dedication to this remarkable breed to be reflected in the lineage of our upcoming litter.
